Christians believe many things that is why there are so many doctrines and faith tradition, but the one thing we all have in common is Salvation through Christ Jesus. Colossians 1.15-23
Well it is and it isn't...to be truly saved means to be truly repentant that means turning from sin and towards God-making Jesus your Lord and Savior. Making Jesus your Lord means surrendering your sovereign will to the devine will of God. Romans 6.1-14
There are three ordinances or sacraments that all Christians agree on: Confession, Baptism, and Communion.
1. Confession occurs when you accepted Jesus into your life and made him your Lord and Savior and will continue as you walk in Jesus.
2. Baptism is a sign of you being a new creature being buried and risen with Christ.
3. Communion is a sign that Jesus died for us and that he is with us always.
Different Faith Communities have different ordinaces or sacraments as part of their tradition.
But rememeber we are Justified by faith not by works. Romans 11.6, 2 Timothy 1.19
Sin is not just list of "Thou Shall Not's" Think of sin as a cardinal direction like north and south. If God is a cardinal direction then sin is the opposite direction. Sin therefore, are those things that take you away from God. Romans 3.9-20
